Sending attachment link to a resident

PublicStuff Pro users can attach a link to a PDF or other document for residents to view and download.  

  1. Open a Request Details page within PublicStuff Pro.
  2. On the right side of the screen, you will see a 'Add File' box. Click on the box, which will prompt you to upload a file. Add the PDF file you would like to share with the resident.
  3. Click Save. You must complete this step, otherwise the attachment will not be saved to the request.
  4. Click on the 'Comments' tab
  5. Click on the Link Attachment button
  6. Click on the document that you would like to share as a link
  7. To provide more context to the resident, add a message within the comments field before clicking the 'Submit' button.
  8. Also, most importantly, if this document contains private information, make this service request private (which you can do in the drop-down options menus)
  9. Once you click submit, the resident will receive an email about a new comment on the request, and it will contain the link to the file.

Residents cannot send files links back to the municipality at this time.
