Send Push Notifications

PublicStuff Pro users can send ad hoc push notifications to users of the mobile apps (if they have allowed push notifications on their app). Alert residents to changes in sanitation schedules, upcoming events, street closures, and more.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Go to https://gov.publicstuff.com/push (this is the only link to access the notifications - there is no menu item for this)
  2. Choose the content type: announcement or URL
  3. Customize the specific content that push notification subscribers will receive: the announcement or the URL
  4. Update the text to appear in the individual push notification (100 characters or less)
  5. Select the users to receive the notification. By default, all users who have downloaded the app and allowed notifications are selected.
  6. Verify the correct users are selected
  7. Press Send Notification
