Setting up a request type for integration

Individual request types must be linked with the appropriate request type in the third-party system. The names between the two systems do not need to match, but PublicStuff must associate the request type in its system with the appropriate request type id (also known as problem id, request id, etc.) of the desired matching request type in the third party system.

At the moment, the API ids must be emailed to your PublicStuff Account Manager and our developers will manually set up the link.

In the future, to set up the matching ids, log in to PublicStuff Pro > Manage Request Types

1. Choose the appropriate request type from the list
2. Scroll down to the bottom to find the Default API field
3. Enter the appropriate id corresponding to the request type in the third-party system to which all incoming requests should be assigned
4. Click Save
