PublicStuff uses US Census GIS data to create municipal boundaries for US clients, and the World Bank’s World DataBank to create boundaries for international clients. We recognize that municipal boundaries change over type and support updates to these boundaries.
Users can verify municipal borders by reviewing Map in PublicStuff Pro and municipal borders can be adjusted by providing a KMZ or KML file. That file should contain a single multi-polygon, and should be under 500 kb. The smaller the boundary file is, the better, since geographic data is often sent to or from mobile applications over wireless networks, where small file size is a top priority to ensure a positive user experience.
