PublicStuff encourages staff to submit and manage requests in the field by using smartphones, tablets, or internet-enabled laptops. Depending on staff behavior in the field, here are two recommendations:
- Request management from the field
If staff will be submitting requests in the field that require any request workflow management, the user will need to log into PublicStuff Pro rather than use the mobile app. Staff follow the same request submission process that they follow from the desktop version at Add Request. They will also be able to access individual request details to change status, reassign, and comment on requests. Users will be able to attach photos and other files to requests as well. - Request submission by staff in the field
If staff are in the field (or even at home in their neighborhoods and spot something to report), PublicStuff recommends submitting reports just as residents do: by downloading the PublicStuff iOS and Android mobile apps and submitting requests from the apps. Just like residents who submit on their apps, your staff will receive all public comments and status change alerts. Staff will not be able to see internal comments or make any request management edits from the app - they will need to log into PublicStuff Pro to accomplish those tasks.
