Testing the mobile app
Once the branded mobile applications are available in the app stores, download the apps on iOS and Android devices and use this checklist to test all elements of the mobile app prior to launch:
Ensure that all images are displaying correctly throughout the app
Confirm the app colors are correct. To change the color of the elements in the app, go to Manage Settings > Mobile settings.
Verify all widgets are correctly working. To change any mobile app settings, go to Manage Settings > Widget Settings. Use these questions to guide your changes:
Is the order of the widgets displayed as desired?
Are the widget descriptions correct?
After opening each widget, do widgets open and display correctly?
Create test requests for each of your service request types. When submitting a test request, add “TEST, no response required” to alert staff that the request is only a test. We recommend testing:
The request submission process and display elements
The order and language in the custom fields are correct
Attaching an image
Logging in or creating a PublicStuff account
Confirmation message is displayed correctly
Understand the communication process of request types. Do commenting and following settings work as intended?
